Well done to all involved!

Some fantastic fractions work happening in Primary 4 this morning.

Primary 5 have reflected on how the world could have been created. We discussed what Christians believe and then gave our opinions on how we think the World was created. We found the more we thought about it, the more questions we needed answering!

The Y11 team went to Crucial-Crew, learning new skills for life, engaging in life learning.

In DT, we have been working hard to make our clocks. Not only are we making a fantastic piece but we have done some amazing research and coursework to go with it.

In SEAL we have been working on communication skills and instruction giving. We used the play doh to create animals and creatures using instructions. We then played communi-draw. In pairs we took it in turns to give instructions to our partners of what to draw. For example to draw a flower we started with the instruction “in the middle of the page, draw a medium sized oval”

This morning in Primary 4 we wrote thank you letters to let people know how much we appreciate the things that they do for us.

Primary 4 made gyrocopters in science. We then discussed the two forces that act upon the gyrocopter as it drops.

Primary 4 had a great time feeding the animals at Springwell farm.

As part of our cooking course we made pasties today.

During SEAL we talked about the zones of regulation and what sort of feelings we have in each zone. We used emojis and words to explain this.  

We have raised awareness about children in need by doing a sponsored cycle to raise money for the charity

What a fantastic afternoon of ordering planets, designing rockets and creating space pictures.

Sebastian showed us how to make a spaceship using just one piece of paper. Fantastic effort Seb 👍🏻

At Highfields we were lucky enough to have a go at using the Brick Club box, we worked in teams of three to build some fantastic models then worked on some creative play with the figures and smaller sets.

Key stage 3 were up for a treat this afternoon with an interactive Indian Dancing workshop. They danced, clapped, played with sticks, dressed up as monkeys, acted in an Indian wedding play and listened to Indian music. So great moves and great acting skills from all years. Well done KS3!

Primary 4 have been learning about Jesus and then sharing back to their class what they found out about him.
