Great Superhero assembly by Primary 2! Well done!

Elections in Year 7
To day we held our class Councillor elections. We voted democratically for our representative to sit at the Voice of Change meetings and we chose the best candidates for the job of making a positive difference to all in school. Well done to Ripley for being elected Rep and to Olivia and Aidan for being elected as deputies. We hope you enjoy listening to their manifestos.

We all put money in the box today, happy to raise money for charity. A very special thank you to Aidan who brought some buns baked from home to sell. Well done Year 7 for taking part!

We had lots of fun playing maths twister this morning.

Springwell celebrate The International Day of Peace by sending messages to the House of Commons!
Pupils at Springwell wrote messages of price and decided to send them to the House of Commons via Mr Dan Jarvis, our local MP. Olivia very kindly wrote a letter asking him to mention our messages at the next meeting to raise awareness of the suffering of children in countries at war. Well done all for your kind messages!

Beastly biscuits in Year 7
Year 7 designed and made some biscuits looking like beasts. Well done for having such imagination, a steady hand and for sharing with others. Super results and some yummy beasts!

We are studying graphs and pictogrammes in Year 7. Today we used Skittles to work out how many we had in a packet and how the colors were distributed.

Make Your Mark! Pupils at Springwell get a voice.
Chelsea and Mark from Barnsley Council came to visit all KS3 and 4 classes to gather votes from pupils for the Make Your Mark Campaign. They were delighted by how responsible, mature and willing to make a difference our pupils were. Well done Year 7 for making sure your voice is heard and for wanting to improve young people’s lives.

We read a spooky story about the Springwell Beast round a campfire, toasting marshmallows and trying not to be too scared!!!!
