    Primary 2 fraction pizza making

    To be or not to be, that is the question!

    In English this week we have been learning all about Hamlet. As a class we read through the summary of the play and have been focusing on key words and quotes from the different sections.     Bread Baking Bonanza!

    In Catering this week, we’ve been creating our own loafs! We followed advice from the Bread Master (Mr Paul Hollywood!) and created in the shape of squares, spheres and Levi even attempted a 7 stringed plait!     Hesley wood – Crate Stacking!

    Wow, this week at Hesley Wood was amazing! We had a go at crate stacking to see who could get to the top the quickest! Although it was muddy and very high, we had a brilliant time!     LGBT SEAL board

    In SEAL lessons here at Darton we have been working on a range of things such as anti bullying and Homophobia.     Primary 2 geography

    In Primary 2 we have been looking at the evacuation of children to Staffordshire after The Blitz. Children were evacuated from a number of cities across the UK.     Never give up 

    Fantastic joint nurture this morning with Y10 and Y11 joining forces. A great game of football with a 6-5 victory to non blues. Non blues were losing with 30 seconds left but managed a late equaliser and a last second winner from Cal Smith, showing you should never give up.     Otto The Bear

      Primary 1 have been looking at an Autobigraphy written by Otto. Otto was a teddy bear that lived with a boy called David during World War II. Otto was given to David’s friend Oskar when David and his family were taken away for being Jewish. Luckily for Otto he had numerous adventures before he was spotted by David in an antique shop window over 50 years later. After listening carefully to the story Primary 1 made hand puppets and have been able to answer questions about the story.     World War Two Day

    Class 3 and the rest of Key Stage 2 spent a fantastic day at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield today.     Personal development fitness

    Primary 3 Attendance Champions

    Class 3 were attendance champions for Term 1a and their prize was a special breakfast. Here they are tucking into bacon, sausages, pancakes and waffles. In less than 5 minutes they cleared the table!!     This week at Hesley Wood, we had a lesson in the sport behind Air Rifle shooting. We listened to the instructor tell us about the sport in the Olympics and how both men and women compete against each other.     Key Stage Three Drama
